I think what stops most people from believing that they can actually pursue a dream, has to do with the fact that we live in a world where we are so conditioned from the moment we’re born, the teachers, the preachers, everybody is telling us what we can and can’t do.
I remember my mother telling me, “No, you can’t be a writer. You’ve got to go to work, be a typist” or something ridiculous.
We have to learn to say no to that, because if we can follow that passion, not only do we make ourselves happy, but within that we are bringing something valuable to the world.
I really do believe that we all come in with a purpose and our job is to find out what that purpose is and then live it.
