I think I knew when I was six years old. I was taken to a dance class and I felt like I was where I needed to be and I remember I was dancing and it felt like something opened up from above and just hit me like a ray a shaft of light and I just knew I was supposed to be there and ever since then my whole life has always been about dance or through dance. Because dance is a lot bigger than just dancing and just performing it’s also an internal practice and and so the dance has been like the constant road. Then it took me to filmmaking and it took me to writing stories – but always through that lens.
